Industry
A major focus of the SEAM Center is technology transfer, which is achieved through the Indsutrial Consortium Program, which will help guide the Center's research for the benefit of the consortium members.
Opportunity for Industry
SEAM welcomes members in the aerospace industry to join us to create new solutions for challenges faced by the industry.
Member benefits include:
- Performance Based Agreements (PBA’s) between SEAM and the manufacturer that bundle access to skills, resources and infrastructure that empower them.
- Technical training programs and 1 on 1 assistance to consortium members for a robust means to overcome technical and process limitations.
- Attending bi-annual workshops and meetings to learn about recent research, case study reports, new technology and interact in-depth with SEAM faculty, engineers, postdocs and students.
- Jointly submitting proposals to federal programs, such as SBIR/STTR, that encourage university-corporate partnerships.
- Access to SEAM presentations and prepublications.
- Opportunity to receive committed and qualified student interns from the university pool.
- Early access to intellectual property developed by SEAM.
Sponsored Research Projects
All members will have the opportunity to sponsor dedicated research and development projects with SEAM faculty members. Such projects will be classified and data generated from such projects will not be shared with other consortium members.
